Since 1991, Indian River Habitat for Humanity has worked tirelessly to address a worsening issue within our community –inadequate access to affordable homeownership opportunities.
In response to this national crisis, Habitat for Humanity has pioneered innovative ways to make the cost of owning a home more affordable for working families. By offering down payment assistance, ‘sweat equity’ hours instead of high-interest rates, and homeownership readiness courses, families can work to not only build the “American Dream” but also sustain it.
To do this, Indian River Habitat relies on the generosity of our community to journey alongside them.
Habitat fundraising events bring the mission to the forefront with a new theme – home is where the heART is.
