We are thrilled to announce the official launch of the popular Habitat Women Build initiative for the upcoming year, 2026!

March is International Women’s Month, and we are kicking off our celebration with a month-long advocacy campaign. This campaign will powerfully highlight the critical need for women to have equitable access to safe and affordable homeownership opportunities in our community.

A Historic Milestone:

• This year’s Build will also mark 34 years of partnership with Habitat for Humanity International’s Women Build initiative.
• We’re celebrating this legacy in 2026 by setting an ambitious goal: to raise $80,000 for Women Build 2026.

Meet the Family You’ll Empower:

The Women Build 2026 partner family is the The King Family, led by two sisters! Your support will directly empower them to achieve the stability and self-reliance that comes with owning a home.

How You Can Help Us Reach Our Goal:

We need your support! We are aiming to raise $80,000 for Women Build 2026. With the help of local partners, dedicated women in the community, and prospective Women Build Ambassadors like you, we can make this dream a reality.

Here’s how you can lend your voice to the mission:

1. Become a 2026 Women Build Ambassador.
2. Digital Advocate: Share the campaign widely across your social media network. (Sample posts will be provided after registration.)
3. Team Builder: Recruit a team of motivated Women Builders. (Note: You do not have to physically build on the construction site to “build a team” of women)
4. Fundraising Champion: Commit to raising at least $250 through Just Giving peer-to-peer fundraising.
5. Event Participant: Represent the campaign by attending three key events:
   • Kick-Off Celebration: Attend the Hardhats and High Heels Kick Off Night on Thursday, March 5th, 2026, 4:30-6:30pm, Location: Pepper & Salt at Hogan Yards
   • Attend the Women Build Wall Raising on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 7:30am – noon.
   • Post-Event: Location/Date TBD
