We are thrilled to announce the 2025 start of the popular Habitat initiative – Women Build!

During the month of March, and in observance of International Women’s Month, we are launching a month-long advocacy campaign highlighting the need for women to have access to affordable homeownership opportunities.

This year’s Build will also mark 33 years of combining efforts with Habitat for Humanity International’s Women Build initiative, and we’re hoping to celebrate 2025 in a big way.

With support from local partners, women in the community, and perhaps yourself, a prospective Women Build  ambassador, we hope to build one Indian River Habitat home for a family in need. A family like Yasha, one of the “hand-up” recipients of the Women Build 2025.

We are hoping to raise $80,000 for Women Build 2025.

Here’s how you can lend your voice to the mission:

1. Become a 2025 Women Build Ambassador.

2. Share the campaign with your social media network. (A sample social media posts will be emailed to you after you registered)

3. Build a team of Women Builders. (Note: You do not have to physically build on the construction site to “build a team” of women)

4. Fundraise at least $250 through peer-to-peer fundraising.

5. Attend the Hammers and High Heels Kick Off Celebration on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at the Heritage Center, 2140 14th Ave, Vero Beach, from 3 – 5pm.

6. Attend the Women Build Wall Raising on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 7:30am – noon.
