Volunteers are Needed Throughout the Summer

Indian River Habitat for Humanity works year round. Our focus this summer is to:

1) refurbish previously owned homes; and
2) help low income homeowners who are not able to make necessary repair

Although selling a homebuyer a new home has been our custom, it is not general practice throughout the country.

The mission of Habitat is to provide our homebuyer partners an affordable and decent place to live. We have increasingly resorted to purchasing and refurbishing previously owned homes. Often, this has resulted in a better investment for the homeowner. We have also begun to assist homeowners on a limited income who are not able to accomplish necessary repairs.
