Where We've Built
Our first house was constructed in Gifford with the Pressley family in 1992. Our current construction focus is on single lots in the Oslo Park area and infrastructure development planning for Grace Woods West. In addition to subdivision projects, IRHFH also does foreclosure-renovation (second-hand home) projects which fit the appropriate criteria.
Indian River Habitat for Humanity has built homes throughout the county:

Grace Pines
At left, Grace Pines was Indian River Habitat’s first endeavor at a
subdivision with a homeowners association. It consists of 28 homes
on one street with a cul-de-sac. The 5 acre land tract for Grace
Pines was graciously donated to Habitat by the Catholic Diocese in
Miami.
Grace Oaks II
At left, these three townhomes are far different from
the structure that came before them. There was an abandoned motel on the
property that was used as a drug house. The
property was seized by the US Marshals office in a raid. They in
turn donated the property to Habitat if we met certain criteria,
which we did. That area is no longer a blight, and three deserving
families now have a place to call home.

Grace Meadows
At right, our north county development, Grace Meadows, is under way on 18 acres
in Fellsmere. |
Grace Woods
This
36-home subdivision, Grace Woods, is located in the Oslo Park area. The solar panels on each Grace Woods home illustrate one of the ways Habitat is working to develop more "green" construction elements.
Grace Woods West:This planned 20-home neighborhood is in the infrastructure development stage.
