Indian River Habitat for Humanity's successful Scholarship and After-School Program and Prep Club are entering their fifth year. New this year, the program has been expanded and now offers scholarships to our homeowners who wish to pursue further education.
The five components of the Scholarship Committee are:
· After School Care Subsidy Funds- Habitat students participating in approved education based after school programs are eligible for 75% of the monthly fee up to $75 per month.
· Summer Care Subsidy Funds- Habitat students participating in approved education based summer care programs are eligible for 75% of the cost of the program.
· The Habitat Prep Club- This “college bound” program makes college a reality for our students! Starting in sixth grades, children have the opportunity to tour every college in the state of Florida, while completing their secondary education. Prep Clubbers also attend life skill classes and participate in community service events.
