John Sillesky, Home Center Assistant Manager

John grew up and was educated in Boston, MA. After earning a degree in mechanical engineering he worked as a tool and dye maker. John progressed from there to tool design and then spent 18 years in research and development with Duracell, as a senior product development engineer. His endeavors yielded five US patents and three European patents. Following a reorganization at Duracell. John and his wife, Julie, moved to Vero Beach, where John found his way to Habitat. Julie is a dedicated, computer-savvy Habitat volunteer, making sure on-line shoppers have easy access to current Home Center items.  John especially enjoys Habitat's "great family atmosphere." When not working at the Home Center, John enjoys SCUBA, antiques and vintage British cars, as well as photography, and canoeing.
