Jessica Schmitt is from Long Island, NY, and began her career at Indian River Habitat for Humanity as an AmeriCorps member. Before moving into her present position, Jessica worked with Kelly Brown and Peggy Gibbs on grants, appeals, and planning special events such as the Habi Trot 5K Race. Jessica discovered Habitat’s mission on her many Alternative Spring Break trips from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA, where she received a BA in History and Studio Art. A dedicated runner, Jessica is excited about living in Florida where she can go to the beach all year long.
