How to Apply

1st Step: Call the Habitat Office at 562-9860 ext. 201 This phone call will kick start the application process! You will be asked a series of 5 pre-screening questions, to determine whether or not you will likely qualify for the program. If you qualify, your name and information will be turned over to our intake specialist who will call you to schedule a time for you to come in and attend an orientation.
2nd Step: Attend an orientation with the Family Services Support Coordinator Orientations cover all the information necessary for to apply for a Habitat home. They will review our criteria for accepting applicants as well as how to complete your application and the approval process. Orientations typically last 30 to 45 minutes and are free of charge. You must have completed the pre-screening, to have one scheduled for you. Upon completion of the orientation, the Family Services Support Coordinator, will review your current circumstances with you and can pull your credit report at that time, to determine your qualification. If you qualify, you will be given an application and instructions for completion.
3rd Step: Complete an application Now that you have attended an orientation you should be able to complete an application and know all the documentation necessary for approval.
